Port of Pula
Position: 44°52,5´N - 013°50,8´E
Meteorological characteristics: NE wind is the most common and it can be strong but it´s not making waves in the port. Wind from S can be also strong but it´s not making waves in the port.
Tides: from 0,5 till 0,7 meters, with strong wind can rise till 1 meter.
Regulations: It is forbiden to drop the anchor in the Harbour.
Pilot: compulsory from 500 GT. Available 24 hours on daily basis. Calling VHF ch. 16 (working VHF ch. 12).
Towage: 1/1226 kW from Shipyard "Uljanik". Additional tugs available from Rijeka on advance notice.
Warning: Sailing to the port keep a Sharp lookout on shallow water cliff which is spreading 150 meters SE from cape „Verudica“. During the night sailing to the port is difficult becouse of many lights on the land.
Anchorage: Anchorage area for larger ship´s is in front of the Harbour 0,6NM SW from cape „Kumpar“. Smaller ship´s can drop the anchor 800 meters NW from the light on quay „Rijeka“ on depth of 13 meters.
Berth: In the commercial part of the Harbour there is 105m of quay with depth of 3,5m.
On the quay „Rijeka“ can be docked on both sides of the quay, there can dock a ship with lenght up to 135 meters and draught of 4m. In the marina there is 226 bindings with depth up to 12 meters..
Supply: Fresh water, fresh provisions, cigarets and spirits duty free ..
Authorities: Harbour master office, police, customs, imigrations, permanent international marine border, post office, medical centre, farmacy..
Bunkers: Limited quantities available by truck
